Mr. Fixit

I fix things all day. At work, I get paid to fix things. When I get home I fix more things. Today I came home and realized that the reason my truck has been pulling to the right is because the right tire was really low so I got the bike pump out and filled it back up. I've always wondered if a person could pump up a car tire with a bicycle pump. Then I pulled the sink apart to find the clog. That was really gross, I'd rather be a mechanic before a plumber! But more than anything I like the job I have. Working with Cisco and Linux is the best! Anyway I know the tire "fix" is only temporary, I'll prolly get new tires tomorrow.

I'm Mrs. Fixit. It's not all fun, though. I fixed my kitchen drawer 3 times now. Just recently I fixed it with NEW wood and it broke a month later! I'm extremely discouraged. I've refused to fix it. I need new tracks for it but I just don't wanna. Maybe if Dad buys me another power tool to fix it I'll feel encouraged...

A staple gun would do the trick...

You need to get the biggest, knobbiest tires you can. Make it as monster truck like as you can. You will be my hero.

If you go to Grand Prarie you can have the two that I just bought. Probably for free.

I like to fix stuff, I just haven't had time lately. There's been a radiator in my hallway for a week just waiting for me to install it in the van. Maybe tomorrow...

Sorry S, but if you have to continue to repair, it is not repaired. Matt, I have cme to realize Cisco is good for fewer and applications. Dealing with extreme bandwidth, 500Mbs,on a half GigE circuit, Cisco has nothing that can handle it, they crash. Soon we will be going to a full GigE, 1000Mbs and increase our basic DSL,Cable Modem, fiber Internet from the 5Mbs service to 10Mbs. Our customers will be able to upgrade to 15Mbs on Cable and DSL. Fiber customers can upgrade to 35Mbs

I have several switches with Gigabit ports and haven't had any issues. Are you saying that you are actually pushing 500Mbps or more through it? We have it available but the most I've seen it actually use is around 72Mbps. Also are you talking about WAN interfaces or LAN interfaces? In any case if you want less frills and more throughput you might be interested in what Juniper has to offer, although Google is looking at going a step further and building their own routers (http://www.sdtimes.com/blog/post/2009/01/05/Google-To-Doom-Juniper.aspx). Juniper is pretty cool in that you can use Linux regex. Cisco has the feel of Linux but that is about it, it lacks most of the Linux functionality.

I find that I can push lots of MLATSQTD's through my new POKMR's. But when it comes to the TRL's the applications get lost in the mail.
