I think it's wonderful that Obama signed the Credit-Card Consumers’ ‘Bill of Rights’. It's about time we had some financial laws protecting consumers like this. I think some of these Banks should be ashamed at some of the practices they have been using to take advantage of their customers. I understand that some of the arguments that are made in court may not reflect how people truly feel (so I don't blame banks for saying that they can't be profitable without taking advantage of their customers), but their actions don't get them any sympathy from me. I think the economy would do much better if all money earned is done through hard work instead of manipulation.

Ornery Women
Today in sacrament meeting Brother Pugsley said he was talking to someone about the talk he was preparing. He said it was about honoring women. The other person looked confused until he repeated himself, honoring not ornery. He got some laughs, especially from me and Kristy.

Amber is a girl
I asked Amber how she knew she was a girl. She said that her mother put a magic spell on her. Kristy must have run out of these magic spells.

St. Elmo's
Some clients from work took me and some others to St. Elmo's a few weeks ago. It was great and the portions were enormous. I had enough left over for another meal so I took them with. On the way to the car a very persistent guy with no teeth asked us if we could help him get some dinner. It was interesting to see how everyone reacted. I told him "not today", which seems to go over pretty well with most people. But I considered giving him my left-overs. Instead I gave them to my pregnant wife who promptly ate it loving every bite. But I keep reflecting on the moment wondering if I should have done something more. This isn't the first time I've been in this situation, but I don't remember ever actually giving anything to people begging for food. Mostly I'm told that money won't go toward food, but in this situation I had food to give and I didn't even offer it. I've heard that steak doesn't digest well if you don't have the teeth to chew it, but it's probably better than nothing.

Cutting Bob
Me and Kristy have been talking about circumcision. Poor little Bob. I think we should let him into the world unscathed. I'm not sure what Kristy is thinking - she seems undecided. I just don't think the "health benefits" are all they are hyped up to be. Plus I've heard horror stories of botched up circumcisions performed by hospitals - why risk it?
